Wheelchair users and customers with a disability
We strive to provide an optimal concert experience for everyone and offer assistance upon request. People with disabilities pay just €17 per ticket for concerts by the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and guest orchestras in Antwerp, upon presentation of official documentation from a health insurance fund (confirming a minimum of 66% disability). One companion per person with a disability receives a 50% discount on the standard ticket price, with a minimum of €17. This discount does not apply to prestige concerts.
Wheelchair users and their companions pay the standard ticket price. If the disability rate is applicable (for those with at least 66% disability, as mentioned above), the reduced rate of €17 applies to the person with a disability, and one companion receives a 50% discount. The number of wheelchair spaces per concert is limited, and booking is required no later than one week before the concert. Reservations can only be made by telephone, email, or at the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra ticket desk. If you use a wheelchair but prefer to sit in a regular seat during the concert, you do not need to book a wheelchair space. You can use your wheelchair to reach your seat and then transfer. The wheelchair itself must be placed outside the entrance to the concert hall during the performance and can be retrieved by your companion afterwards. Our front-of-house staff are available to provide assistance if required.
