Liesbet Vereertbrugghen
Liesbet Vereertbrugghen is a musicologist and producer at Klara. She is also co-author of the guides 'Everyone Classical' and created the award-winning 'Klara4Kids' CD series.
In 2018, her book, 'On Roses. A Flower Reading. Sixty cultural-historical stories about the rose' with, as a spin-off, the performance 'On Roses. A Flower Reading. Sung. Played.'
She realised a whole series of musical theatre performances, including 'I am a Fable', 'Don Dijstuk of La Mancha', 'Red Shoes', 'As Louise (Mozart's Seven Women)', 'About Schubert - The Neve of Schubert', 'Suivez le Guide/Vol de Gids/Follow the Guide' and 'Mel Bonis m/f of the Year'. All these music performances place the past in the present with the necessary humour.
She is a singer in several ensembles, including La Furia, La Folia, Frascati and Bread and Roses. She conducts the choir Nieuwdauw.
