Antoine Goldschmidt

Visual artist, engineer and scenographer Antoine Goldschmidt explores the boundaries and combinations between real and virtual spaces, matter and light, impression and sensation. His experience as a scenographer and his studies in the semiology of live performances have led him to study the processes of perception that give rise to impressions, as well as the physiological processes that give rise to sensations and emotions, with a view to questioning our relationship with the world and our understanding of it. His creations take different forms, often monumental, and use mixed techniques (projection, light, laser, video, LED, materials). In some of his works, he prefers a form of spontaneous interactivity with human interaction and collective intelligence as the main subject. Antoine places the human being at the centre of his creations and working process and regularly collaborates with artists from the Belgian and Brussels scene. Antoine Goldschmidt is founder and artistic director of MagicStreet, which produces, designs and creates audiovisual artworks and installations in Belgium and far beyond.
