Clara Pérez Campuzano
Clara Pérez Campuzano was born in Torrelavega, Spain. She began her music studies at
the age of eight in her hometown, obtaining the highest marks in her final year.
She studied for her Bachelor's degree with Liana Gourdjia at Musikene (Higher School of Music of
the Basque Country, Spain) currently, she is continuing her Master's studies with Meesun Hong
Coleman at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität (Linz, Austria).
Her passion for orchestral performance has led her to become a member of several orchestras
in Europe such as Neue Philharmonie München, Wiener Jeunesse Orchester, OSCyL Joven,
Ataúlfo Argenta Youth Orchestra, Cantabria Youth Symphony Orchestra and Basque Youth
Orchestra. She has also collaborated with several professional orchestras such as Castilla y León
Symphony Orchestra, Elba Festival Orchestra, BilbaoSinfonietta and Llíria ‘City of Music’
Orchestra.
As a chamber musician, she has received several masterclasses from members of renowned
European string quartets such as Cuarteto Quiroga, Quatuor Diotima and Kuss Quartett and she
has participated in different seasons of chamber music. She is also part of the Ensemble
L’inégalité, an ensemble which focuses on Historically Informed Performance.
Clara has performed at well-regarded festivals in Europe including Elba Isola Musicale D’Europa
Festival, San Sebastián Musical Fortnight, San Sebastián Jazz Festival and Santander
International Festival.
During her musical studies, she had the opportunity to receive many masterclasses from
worldwide recognised professional violinists like Judith Ingolfsson, Dmitri Makhtin, Marc Danel,
Tatiana Samouil, Aitzol Iturriagagoitia, Catalin Bucataru, Cibrán Sierra, Miguel Colom, Andoni
Mercero, Pedro Gandía, Hed Yaron Meyerson, Pavel Fischer, Kamran Omarli, Sebastian Gürtler,
to name but a few.
In the season of 2024-2025 Clara joins the Baron Swerts Academy, part of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
