Raül Verdú Sellés

Raül Verdú Sellés started playing the clarinet at the age of seven. He had his first lessons from his father, who is also a professional clarinetist. He obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees at the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña (ESMUC) in Barcelona with Professor Josep Fuster, solo clarinetist at the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya.

Räul then moved to Antwerp for a postgraduate degree in orchestral music with Annelien Van Wauwe. In 2021, he joined the Opernhaus Zurich Orchestra Academy, where in addition to orchestral experience, he also received instrument lessons from Rita Meier, Robert PIckup, Filipa Nunez, and Markus Forrer. 

Raül is currently second clarinetist / Eb clarinetist at the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
