Natalia Buga
Natalia Buga was born in 1990 in Moldova. She studied viola at the Conservatory in Chișinău, and obtained her master's degree magna cum laude at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp with Leo de Neve. She started her career in the Youth Orchestra I, Culture with conductors Sir Neville Mariner and Kirill Karabits, and with soloists such as Khatia Buniatishvili and Truls Mørk. After that she worked with the Youth Orchestra Flanders and the Symphonic Orchestra of Opera Ballet Flanders. Since 2019, she has been a permanent member of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
She took master classes with Yuko Inoue, Paul Cortese, Razvan Popovici, David Watkins, Jan Bjoranger, Wolfgang Wölfer and Sviatoslav Belonogov, and is a prize winner of the International Chamber Music Competition of Varna.
