Elisabeth Week

During Elisabeth week, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, resident orchestra of the Queen Elisabeth Hall, welcomes each year a winner or laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition.

In Belgium’s world of classical music, the name Queen Elisabeth links three important institutions. As orchestra in residence of the Queen Elisabeth Hall, we are delighted to work with the Chapel to present this Elisabeth week the focus of which is a winner from the Competition.

Edition 2026: Sergei Redkin

Born in 1991, Sergei Redkin is among the great talents of his generation. In 2004, he moved to St Petersburg, where he started his piano studies at the Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory. He also studied composition with Alexander Mnatsakanian, a student of Dmitri Shostakovich. Sergei Redkin made a name for himself internationally with prestigious prizes, the grand crowning achievement being the Second Prize at the Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition in 2021.
