Laie Lee
Laie Lee started violin and piano lessons at age six at the music school in Heerlen and was admitted to the Maastricht Academy of Music (Young Talent Class) at age ten. There she studied successively with Nilla Pierrou, Maarten Veeze, Boris Belkin and Zakhar Bron. She also attended many master classes in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Poland and Italy with Andre Gertler, Igor Ozim, M. Lavrinovich, among others. She soon won several prizes, at the Herman Krebbers Concours, Stichting Jong Muziektalent Nederland and the Davina van Wely Concours, among others. Besides her position in the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, she regularly gives recitals in Europe and Asia, and can often be seen in chamber music concerts.
