Marija Krumes

Marija Krumes was born in Yugoslavia. She started playing violin at the age of seven with her father after which she completed her violin studies at the University of Belgrade. She then studied violin at the Conservatory of Antwerp with Dejan Mijajev and viola in the class of Leo De Neve. As a viola player and violinist, she played in several orchestras and chamber music groups in Belgium and the Netherlands. She also collaborated in several TV and CD productions and in addition to her performances as a violinist and viola player, she is regularly involved in various pedagogical activities. Since 2010, she has been connected to the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra as a viola player.
