City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra with María Dueñas
The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra developed into one of Europe’s leading orchestras in recent decades. In 2022, the audience in Antwerp’s Queen Elisabeth Hall treated the orchestra and its electrifying chief conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla to a standing ovation that went on for several minutes. This year, the orchestra’s new chief conductor Kazuki Yamada is travelling to Antwerp to introduce himself with a phenomenal symphonic programme, which includes Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique, an epic work for a huge orchestra. An excellent combination with the golden hall’s superb acoustics!
