WORKSHOP IN DUTCH

What does the story of your life look like? Where are the pivot points, and what are the bridge scenes? What drives the protagonist? Grab the pen at hand during the life story writing workshop, led by an expert in the field.

During the "Writing life stories" course, we will introduce you to the methods and techniques of biographical research and gain insight into how historical facts are brought to life. Meanwhile, you get to work on your own life story. Life writing is fascinating - you relive the events of your 'character' and penetrate his or her train of thought. You move into a different time and environment. A biography becomes the account of your journey through someone else's life, written in such a way that it draws every reader in.

Ruben Mantels is fascinated by life writing and travels through other people's lives while writing. He is currently working on a biography of the architect Henry van de Velde. As a cultural historian, he published a book on the Book Tower and edited the autobiographical diaries of the writer August Vermeylen. During the inspiring workshop "Writing life stories", he will help you put your adventure on paper.
