2024 marks the 75th anniversary of James Ensor's death, but in the world's largest Ensor collection, the avant-garde artist lives on in Antwerp. Discover Ensor from surprising angles, as an innovator and as a game-changer. Because Ensor is so much more than the painter of masks.

At the end of this Ensor year, Antwerp's art institutions will together pay tribute to the great master. The Antwerp Symphony Orchestra is staging an Ensor concert, and the KMSKA is hosting the exhibition "Ensor's wildest dreams".

As a Friend of the Orchestra, you take part in a free tour of the exhibition. In an hour and a half, our guide will take you and your party on a journey through Ensor's masterpieces and those of his impressionable competitors. Discover how Ensor broke the rules of the game and join in the search for the satire and mocking humour in his oeuvre.
