Michaela Bužková

Michaela Bužková studied horn at the Kroměříž Conservatory and perfected her skills at the Janáček Academy in Brno. After her studies, she played horn in several ensembles, including the Arion Wind Quintet. She played in the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra of Olomouc and the Prague Philharmonia. Since 2007, she has been a permanent member of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra as first horn soloist. She performs regularly as a soloist with various orchestras and in chamber music ensembles. She won second prizes at the Europäischer Wettbewerb Klassik-Festival Ruhr, the Brass Competition Brno, and the Czech-Slovak-Anglo Trust Competition.
