Eliz Erkalp

Eliz Erkalp studied horn at the Strasbourg Conservatory. She continued her education at the Musikhochschule of Freiburg with Bruno Schneider. She also took master classes with Hervé Joulain, Jasper de Waal and Hermann Baumann. Eliz Erkalp gained orchestral experience in several youth orchestras, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, the Orchestra of the Flemish Opera, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège and the Opéra National du Rhin. Since September 2002, she has been first soloist at the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. In 2005 she won third prize at the International Horn Competition of Geneva. She recorded a CD of Reinhold Glière's horn concerto with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
